Unlock Kauppalehti’s election machine and discover your candidate for the upcoming European elections

Kauppalehti’s European Parliament election tool is now available to help users make informed voting decisions in the upcoming elections on June 9. This tool presents 20 statements that candidates have already answered, allowing users to choose a candidate by providing their own answers. The Eurovalekone’s statements cover a range of topics, including EU operations, foreign and security policy, environment and climate, and values. Users can receive accurate results on candidate suitability by choosing options like “completely disagree” to “completely agree”. The voting machine also offers a value map that shows the ranking of candidates on conservative-liberal and right-left axes.

On the results page, users can view candidates and parties that match their preferences as well as those that are less suitable. They can also delve deeper into candidates’ responses and compare different candidates directly on the website. Although the selection of candidates is ongoing until May 30, more candidates will be added to the tool as the process continues. Early voting for the European Parliament elections starts on May 29 with advance voting abroad ending on June 1 and in Finland on June 4. The candidate list will be confirmed on May 10 along with candidate numbers for the election, ensuring users have all necessary information to make an informed decision on voting day.
