The DoubleTree by Hilton was the venue for the 2024 Impact and Excellence Awards ceremony, where more than 50 individuals were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the college community. Among them was the Super Science Club, which was awarded Outstanding Club or Organization of the Year. A group of twelve club members and advisors accepted the award on stage, with President Bryant Pepe expressing his excitement and gratitude for the recognition.
Pepe, a third-year student studying physics and earth science, emphasized that winning the award was a culmination of all the hard work the club had put in. He shared that their commitment to providing the best possible experience for members and community has made a positive impact. The ceremony also recognized Ben Surosky, President of the Adventure Society, as Outstanding Club or Organization Member of the Year. Surosky, a third-year student majoring in Spanish, expressed happiness at receiving the award and reflected on his club’s journey. He appreciated being given an opportunity to lead his club and was pleased with their progress over time. Surosky thanked his teammates for their hard work and dedication towards making a difference in society.
