Rodgers 2024? Jets Owner’s Denial of Alleged Argument with Coach Salesh Squashes Speculation.

Jets owner Woody Johnson criticizes NFL-owned media outlet for publishing ‘inaccurate’ report about alleged argument with coach Robert Saleh

Despite the excitement surrounding Aaron Rodgers’ potential role in the 2024 U.S. vice-presidential race, the New York Jets are now faced with a different off-field issue to address. Johnson took to X (formerly Twitter) to clear up any confusion, writing, “All this nonsense about a heated argument between Coach Saleh and me at the league meeting is absolutely false. It is yet another irresponsible report from NFL Network. Please disregard.”

The NFL Network, which is owned by the NFL itself, did not stop Colleen Wolfe, an NFL Network personality who appears on “Good Morning Football,” from suggesting that Johnson and Saleh were at odds during a recent “Around the NFL” podcast. Wolfe stated, “I will say, from a very reliable source at the owners meetings, there was a very heated conversation between Woody and Robert Saleh, to the point where it was a little awkward,” Wolfe said Tuesday. However, when pressed about the matter by podcast co-hosts Dan Hanzus and Marc Sessler, Wolfe downplayed the conversation and refused to label it as an ‘argument.’ She still tried to fuel speculation about it by asking questions like “What were they arguing about? At the owners meetings or at last night’s party?”

SNY quickly reported that no such conversation occurred at all during the reception for NFL owners. The report stated that Johnson and Saleh had never even met before and had never spoken together outside of brief conversations on business matters. This news has put an end to any speculation surrounding their relationship and has cleared up any confusion that may have existed earlier in
