Additionally, they sold $225 million in local produce from a network of 170 farmers.

In terms of ensuring a thriving planet, Sprouts set a goal of reducing per-square-foot carbon emissions intensity by 25% by 2033. They also avoided 130 million single-use bags, achieved a 70% landfill diversion rate, and recovered 70 million pounds of food through donation, animal feed, and composting initiatives.

The report also highlighted the development of purposeful people within the organization. Sprouts promoted 21% of their team members and created over 3,000 new jobs. Additionally, they filled over half of store manager positions with internal candidates and paid bonuses to field associates worth over $21 million. They also delivered over 17,000 leadership training hours to their staff.

Finally, Sprouts showcased their commitment to supporting healthy communities by providing nutrition education programs to over three million children through their foundation and donating over $29 million worth of food equivalent to nearly two million meals since 2015.
