In the small town of El Cobre in Venezuela, a man who has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the oldest living man in the world passed away. Juan Vicente Perez Mora, a father of 11 children and grandfather to countless generations, died at the age of 114 on Tuesday.

Perez was born on May 27, 1909, in Tachira state and was the ninth of 10 children. From an early age, he worked alongside his family in agriculture, harvesting sugar cane and coffee. Despite facing many challenges throughout his life, Perez remained resilient and continued to work hard until his final days.

In February 2022, Perez was officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the oldest living man at the age of 112 years and 253 days. He held this title until his passing on Tuesday. His legacy will live on through his descendants who continue to honor his values and spirit.
