Unleashing Health Resources: Teche Action Clinic Hosts Community Health Fair

Teche Action Clinic to hold a community resource health fair this weekend

Teche Action Clinic is hosting a community resource health fair on Saturday in celebration of National Minority Health Month, which takes place in April. Located at 525 Morris Street, the clinic, known as Louisiana’s first community health center, will host the event from 9 am to 1 pm at Franklin Jr High School. This historic school was once Park Avenue High School and served as one of the area’s black high schools during the era of segregation.

The health fair will provide attendees with a variety of free medical tests along with valuable information on health and fitness. New parents or expecting parents will have the opportunity to learn about the WIC program for infants, while others can gather information about their health insurance and how to optimize its benefits.

Organizers are thrilled to offer members of the community an opportunity to access important resources and learn about ways to improve their health and overall well-being. The event promises to be informative and beneficial for all who attend.
