Trailblazer Michèle Mouton: Her Historic Life Acquired for Biopic by Perfect Storm Entertainment

Justin Lin’s Production Company to Create Film Based on Michèle Mouton’s Life

Michèle Mouton, a former World Rally Vice champion, has had her life rights acquired by Perfect Storm Entertainment. The company plans to develop a biopic based on her incredible journey in the male-dominated world of rally racing. This project came about after the success of Drum Studio’s documentary, The Queen of Speed, which won the International Emmy for Best Sports Documentary in 2022.

Mouton became a trailblazer in the motorsport world during the Group B era and is known for her remarkable achievements. She won four FIA World Rally Championship races and remains the only woman to have achieved this feat. Her accomplishments solidified her status as one of the greatest motorsport drivers in history.

Perfect Storm Entertainment will produce this biopic with Justin Lin, Andrew Schneider, and Sal Gatdula serving as producers. Andy Holland and Jessica Sinclair from Drum Studios will also be involved in production. Mouton and her daughter Jessie Johnsson-Lüthy will serve as executive producers on the film.

The company has a diverse slate of projects underway, including an independent film called The Last Days of John Allen Chau and an Apple series called Two For The Money starring Charlize Theron and Daniel Craig. They also have a Participant Media film called Abacus, an adaptation of the manga classic One Punch Man for Sony, TV projects such as Seven Wonders for Amazon Prime and The Islands for Peacock, Infinite Thread and an untitled Joshua Troke project for Universal Television.
