The Freddie Freeman Clubhouse: A Dream Come True for El Modena High School Baseball Program

Freddie Freeman’s Clubhouse Unveiled at El Modena High School after Generous $500k Donation from Star Player

El Modena High School in Orange, California, is set to begin the 2024 MLB season with a new addition to their facilities – the Freddie Freeman Clubhouse. The project was made possible in part by a generous $500,000 donation from Freeman himself, the 2020 MVP, to the school’s baseball program.

The clubhouse spans 1,440 square feet and features amenities such as a locker room, team meeting space with monitors, a coaches’ office, and expanded batting cages. Pictures shared by the Dodgers and Freeman on Instagram offer a peek inside the clubhouse, showcasing the locker room and a large mural of Freeman in his El Modena Vanguard uniform. The mural highlights Freeman’s achievements and honors, as reported by the Orange County Register.

During Freeman’s time at El Modena, he excelled both at the plate and on the mound, playing varsity baseball for two seasons. His impressive stats included a .417 batting average with five home runs and 10 stolen bases, along with a 6-1 record on the mound, a 1.27 ERA, and 59 strikeouts in 44 innings pitched. Recognized as the Orange County Register’s Player of the Year in 2007, Freeman was subsequently drafted in the second round by the Atlanta Braves.

In recent seasons, El Modena has achieved varying levels of success on the baseball field
