Seahawks in Urgent Quest for Interior Offensive Line Reinforcements; Meet with Veteran Guard Greg Van Roten

Seahawks host visit from Greg Van Roten

The Seahawks are in dire need of interior offensive line help, as General Manager John Schneider recently stated. In order to address this need, the team is exploring both the draft and free agency as possible solutions. With the draft still a few weeks away, the Seahawks are currently focusing on free agency.

One player that the team is meeting with on Wednesday is veteran guard Greg Van Roten, who started every game for the Raiders last season while playing on a one-year deal. Van Roten has been a starter for various teams throughout his career, including the Bills, Jets, and Panthers. He began his career as an undrafted free agent with the Packers in 2012.

While there have been reports of interest in Laken Tomlinson and Cody Whitehair, neither of those players have visited Seattle at this time. The Seahawks are actively exploring their options to bolster their interior offensive line and improve their overall performance on the field.
