Rebeca Andrade to Make Debut at 2024 FIG World Challenge Cup in Antalya, Turkey

Rebeca Andrade, Brazil’s most decorated gymnast, is set to make her Olympic season debut at the World Challenge Cup in Antalya, Turkey on Friday. The 24-year-old will be competing on the uneven bars as she prepares for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Andrade has had an impressive career so far, with numerous accomplishments under her belt. She made history at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games by winning vault gold and all-around silver. She followed up with a gold in the 2022 World all-around competition, a first World team medal for Brazil, and a five-medal haul at the 2023 Worlds.

Joining Andrade in Antalya will be other gymnastics stars such as Sanne Wevers of the Netherlands, who won balance beam gold at the 2016 Olympics, Melanie de Jesus dos Santos of France, who won bronze at the 2018 Worlds on uneven bars and team silver at the 2019 Worlds, and Kaylia Nemour of Algeria, who won uneven bars silver at the 2018 Worlds.

On the men’s side, Ferhat Arican of Turkey will be competing on parallel bars after winning bronze at the Tokyo Olympics in 2016. His teammates Ibrahim Colak and Adem Asil will also be competing on still rings and uneven bars respectively.
