Protest in Brussels: Agriculture and Fisheries Council Coincides with a Wave of Demonstrations; Online Services and Discussions Highlight the Diversity of Interests and Topics

Brussels blocked again by returning tractors

In the European Quarter of Brussels, a demonstration took place overnight coinciding with the Agriculture and Fisheries Council. This is just one of many protests that have occurred in the city since February 1st. As a result, road blockages, suspended sections of public transport, and even fires set by protesters in Place du Luxembourg have been reported. The first of three hundred tractors arrived at the scene, lining up in Rue de la Loi and dividing the headquarters of the European Commission and the EU Council.

Meanwhile, various services are being advertised online such as sprinkler system maintenance, pond repair, private gardener services, retaining walls, and pest control. Discussions about pest control methods such as spider control, rodent control, flea control, termite treatment, mosquito control, bed bug treatment, termite inspection and more are taking place on forums and discussion boards. This demonstrates a wide range of topics and interests being discussed and shared online.
