Laredo Health Department recommends getting vaccinated for respiratory illnesses

With the flu season coming to a close, the Laredo Health Department is urging the community to stay vigilant. Although levels of flu and other respiratory illnesses are currently low in the area, it is crucial to stay up-to-date with vaccines to protect yourself and those around you.

Jaime Perez from the Laredo Health Department emphasizes the importance of getting vaccinated, especially during this time. The RSV vaccine, recommended for children aged 0 to 24 months, will be available until the end of the month. Meanwhile, the flu vaccine, which is available for both adults and children, will continue to be offered until June 30th.
