Top Performers in Memphis Area High School Spring Sports for Week 4

In the Memphis area high school spring sports scene, Week 4 of the 2024 season showcased some impressive talent. In baseball, CBHS secured a dominant 11-1 victory over Houston with standout performances from players such as Riley Goodman, Hank Stalnaker, Holden Robinson, and Will Brick. MUS also had a strong showing in the diamond with Connor Ford, Jordan Kirshbaum, Hudson Shoaf, and Louis Brundick leading their team to a 7-0 victory over White Station.

In softball games, Brighton secured a stunning 12-0 win over Collierville with Aliya Garcia delivering a standout performance on the field. Meanwhile, Houston narrowly beat Bartlett 11-10 with Maddie McClure, Maci Frederick, Ella McKnight, and Hannah Logan making key contributions for their team. St. Benedict also won a thrilling game against Munford by securing a hard-fought 2-0 victory thanks to Jorja Wheeler’s strong pitching performance and Izzy Henderson and Charlee Smith’s support at the plate. Arlington dominated Southwind 16-0 thanks to Brooklynn Knight delivering an outstanding pitching performance on Monday.

In boys soccer games, Northpoint defeated Brighton by an impressive margin of 6-0 thanks to Miller Lashlee’s excellent performance on the field. On Tuesday in girls lacrosse games, ECS came out on top against St. George’s with Sarah Grace Clinton and Rachel Cochran delivering standout performances that helped them secure their win. Lastly, Briarcrest secured a comfortable 6-0 victory over Munford in boys soccer on Monday thanks to Chandler Cross’s significant contributions at midfield along with Coleman Loving’s expert play on defense and Andrew Painter’s solid goalkeeping skills between the posts.
