Marvel Rivals: An Overwatch-Style Shooting Game Featuring Heroes and Villains from the Marvel Universe

Spider-Man, Hulk, and Magneto Join Forces in “Marvel Rivals”, a ‘Free to Play’ Game Inspired by “Overwatch”

Marvel has unveiled a new game called “Marvel Rivals,” which promises to be an “Overwatch”-style game featuring heroes and villains from the Marvel universe. In this shooting game, two teams of six members battle it out on the battlefield for control.

The game is set in the Time Stream Tangle, where Doctor Doom’s future counterpart from 2099 is causing universes to collide. Superheroes and supervillains from multiple realities must come together to fight against both Dooms before one can dominate all realities. The story was created by the NetEase writing team, who have also developed the game.

“Marvel Rivals” will be free to play and initially feature 18 characters, including popular heroes like Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Hulk, and villains like Loki and Magneto. NetEase has promised continuous updates to the game, adding new heroes, arenas, and content.

In a unique twist for the genre, “Marvel Rivals” allows players to combine the powers of two heroes to unleash a more powerful attack. The game promises an immersive gaming experience with its diverse characters and gameplay mechanics.
