Madison Heights’ Amherst County Community Health Center Nears Completion

The completion of the new Amherst County Community Health Center is imminent, according to Johnson Health Center. This new health center in Madison Heights will provide primary care for adults and pediatrics, behavioral health services, dental care, a drive-thru pharmacy, and a wellness center with fitness equipment and a teaching kitchen. Construction of the health center began in 2023, with an anticipated opening date in early 2024.

Johnson Health Center’s CEO has expressed excitement about the upcoming completion of the project and the opportunity to serve the community of Amherst County. The organization plans to employ 13 to 20 new workers once the facility is operational.
