Top US Cities Attracting Population Growth, with Florida Metros Leading the Way

Business Insider recently analyzed US metros with the most positive net domestic migration, and eight Florida cities made it to the top 12. The highest rate of net domestic migration per 1,000 people was found in Wildwood-The Villages in Florida, which also had the overall highest population growth among metros.

Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington in Texas was found to have the highest positive net domestic migration among metros, followed closely by Houston-Pasadena-The Woodlands and Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater in Florida. Despite having a net domestic migration value of 8,684, Wildwood-The Villages stood out with a thriving rate of around 60 per 1,000 people.

Florida cities continue to attract movers from across the US due to their popularity as new opportunities and a change of scenery destinations. This latest data shows that Wildwood-The Villages remains a top destination for those looking for a new place to call home.
