Exploring the Digital Divide: Technology and Mental Health in Children and Adolescents

Workshop on the Impact of Technology on Child Development and Mental Health to be Led by Experts

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) are hosting a workshop on April 4th and 5th to explore the impact of technology and digital media on the development and mental well-being of children and adolescents.

The workshop, which is open to both the scientific community and the public, will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on April 4th and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on April 5th at NICHD headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland.

During the two-day event, experts in technology, child development, and mental health will lead discussions on the positive and negative effects of technology on young minds. Attendees will also explore current research findings and discuss future directions in this area.

Though the event is free, registration is required in order to participate. It’s important for those interested to register early as space is limited
