The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and OneOp are hosting a webinar on April 17 that aims to improve health and wellness by going outside in nature. The free webinar, which can be viewed on YouTube Live for those unable to access the link, is open to participants who want to learn more about the health benefits of spending time outdoors.

The webinar will provide up to one continuing education unit for many professional programs, making it an excellent opportunity for providers who serve military families to learn about the latest research on the health benefits of getting outside in nature and practical programs and initiatives that help individuals, families, and communities connect with nature more often.

Rachel Brauner, an AgriLife Extension program specialist in Bryan-College Station, will lead the discussion on topics such as identifying the health and wellness benefits of spending time in nature, discussing enablers and barriers to regularly connecting with nature, and exploring programs that help people get outside more often. Debra Kellstedt, DrPH, an AgriLife Extension specialist in Bryan-College Station, is also featured as a speaker during this informative session.
