City Shuts Down Business in North Buffalo for Operating Without a License and Violating Health and Safety Code

Unlicensed North Buffalo business ordered to shut down by the city

According to city spokesman Michael J. DeGeorge, the owner of a business in North Buffalo has been instructed to halt all activities by the City of Buffalo’s Department of Permit and Inspection Services. The agency cited the business for operating without a license. This directive came after Buffalo police noticed a large crowd gathered around the establishment at 1783 Hertel Ave. near Vorhees Avenue around 2:30 a.m. on a Saturday. The owner was issued citations for several violations, including running an illegal speakeasy, employing an unregistered bouncer, and consuming alcohol in public places.
