Report: Darvin Ham Returning to Milwaukee Bucks as Assistant Coach Under Doc Rivers

Darvin Ham is returning to the Milwaukee Bucks as an assistant coach, reuniting with the franchise where he previously served as an assistant coach under Mike Budenholzer. This move comes after Ham was let go by the Los Angeles Lakers following a two-year stint as their head coach. Despite his departure from the Lakers, Ham will be back in Milwaukee next season to join Rivers’ coaching staff.

Ham will take on the role of the top assistant coach for the Bucks, working closely with Doc Rivers to lead the team to success. During his time in Milwaukee, Ham and Budenholzer guided the team to a championship in 2021. Additionally, Ham has a history with the Bucks as he played for the team from 1999 to 2002 as an NBA forward.

Following his departure from the Lakers, where he led the team to a deeper playoff run in 2023, Ham will now work closely with Rivers in Milwaukee.
