Browns Sign Pro Bowl Special Teams Star Justin Hardee to Boost Defense

Browns Plan to Add Justin Hardee to Roster

According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Browns are adding Justin Hardee, a core special teams player, to their roster. Hardee previously played for the Jets and has agreed to terms with the team, but the details of the deal have not been disclosed. During his time with the Jets, Hardee was named a Pro Bowl after the 2022 season and recorded 31 tackles and a forced fumble despite limited time in the secondary.

Hardee began his career with the Saints, where he played for four years and saw more action on defense. He had an interception return of 77 yards during his time in New Orleans. However, special teams has always been his primary focus and that is expected to continue with the Browns. Despite playing just one snap in the secondary with the Jets, Hardee has proven himself to be a valuable asset on special teams, earning recognition for his contributions to the team.
