Bringing Science to Life: 5th Graders Recognized for Participation in Racine’s Fresh Air Science Fair

Bango honors victors of Racine elementary school’s Fresh Air Science Fair

In Racine, fifth graders from Julian Thomas Elementary School were recently recognized for their participation in a nearly two-month long Fresh Air Science Fair. The fair began on February 1st, with students forming teams and submitting projects that brought clean air pollution concepts to life. Each entry was judged based on the quality of research, data analysis, and the creativity of their presentation.

The Fresh Air Science Fair is a collaborative effort between Modine, Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District, and United Way of Racine County. This partnership allows students to explore important scientific concepts in a fun and engaging way. Congratulations to all the winners of this year’s Science Fair!

On Wednesday, March 27th, Milwaukee Bucks mascot Bango and the trampoline dunking team, the Rim Rockers, attended an award assembly to announce the winners and award prizes. The first-place team members received three tickets to the April 10 Bucks game against the Orlando Magic, transportation to and from the game, and concession stand vouchers to use at Fiserv Forum during the game. Second and third-place winning teams received Bucks merchandise.

Congratulations once again to all the winners of this year’s Fresh Air Science Fair!
