Bringing Nature and Learning to Young Minds: The South Beloit Public Library’s Summer Story Time Program Returns with a Twist

Science Storytime for Kids: Northern Public Radio – WNIJ and WNIU

The South Beloit Public Library has reintroduced its summer story time program! This exciting series takes place on Friday mornings and Sunday afternoons under the cottonwood tree. Designed for children aged 3-5, the program aims to introduce young participants to local plant and animal species while building their nature, Spanish, and American Sign Language vocabulary.

Each week features a new nature theme that is repeated on Sundays. To attend, participants only need to register once for the series and can attend as many story times as they are able. Thanks to the support from the Judith H. Adams Fund for nature literacy, attendees can use the coupon code story2024 to receive free admission to the program.

The program is a collaboration between Nature At The Confluence and the South Beloit Public Library and runs until August 4, 2024. Sessions are held on Sundays from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. For more information or to register, contact Nature At The Confluence at 815-200-6910 or email
