ARPA-H Launches Innovative Health Care Rewards Program to Improve Community Outcomes

ARPA-H is looking for candidates to apply for the HEROES model to enhance community health

The Department of Health and Human Services’ Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA-H) is pleased to announce the release of a draft solicitation for the Health Care Rewards to Achieve Improved Outcomes (HEROES) program. This innovative program aims to evaluate a new payment model that incentivizes community-based interventions to enhance health outcomes in a specific geographic area.

Under HEROES, participating entities such as non-profit organizations and consortiums will receive direct payments to address and reduce specific health harms within their designated area. By promoting collaboration and innovation in healthcare delivery, this initiative seeks to ultimately improve the well-being of individuals in the community.

Interested applicants must submit abstracts by June 17, with a final solicitation set to be released on April 22. To learn more about HEROES, individuals are encouraged to register for upcoming webinars scheduled for March 26 and April 2. These webinars will provide detailed information about the program, its objectives, and how interested parties can participate in this groundbreaking initiative.
